Economy Glass supplies and installs shower screens in Footscray, and we are the glazier that Footscray landlords, renovators and shop owners call for glass repair and shopfront glass. We are a family-owned business with a showroom and warehouse at 415 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing, serving the City of Maribyrnong and Melbourne’s west for over 45 years, and rated 4.9 stars across more than 600 Google reviews.
Footscray packs a lot of different buildings into a small area: Victorian terraces and weatherboards on the Seddon side, apartment towers around the station and the Joseph Road precinct, converted warehouses, and the busy commercial strips of Barkly Street, Nicholson Street and Leeds Street. Each needs a different approach to glass, and we measure every job on site. Call (03) 9360 9900 or request a free, no-obligation quote.
Apartment ensuites in Footscray are often compact, so a fixed panel or a sliding screen that does not swing into the room is a common choice. Renovated terraces and cottages tend to go frameless, with the glass made to the exact opening so the tiling stays on show. We supply and install framed, semi-frameless, frameless and sliding shower screens, all in toughened safety glass, and we replace screens in rental apartments for property managers and owners corporations. See frameless shower screens for the minimal look, or shower screen repairs when a hinge, seal or single panel has failed.
Broken windows in homes and units are replaced from the large stock of glass at our Hoppers Crossing warehouse, so many can be done within the day. Glass in doors, sidelights and low windows is replaced with toughened or laminated safety glass to Australian Standard 1288 and the Building Code of Australia. See glass repairs and window glass repairs for what to measure, or emergency glass repairs after a break-in. For the restaurants, grocers and offices along Barkly Street and Nicholson Street, our commercial glazing service replaces shopfront glass and door glass, and trade customers can open a B2B account.

Yes. We install shower screens in apartments across Footscray, including upper-floor units where the glass has to come up in a lift or a stairwell. Tell us the building and the floor when you request a quote so we can plan access. If the owners corporation needs paperwork before work starts, we can provide what it asks for.
