Working with schools
Broken glass can't wait in a school
Windows and glass fixtures are everywhere in a school, and in a busy learning environment they carry real risk. A ball through a classroom window, a door panel that goes during recess, a cracked pane nobody noticed until it gave way. It happens, and when it does the damage needs clearing and the glass replaced straight away.
Until that’s done, you’re managing the problem rather than teaching around it. Someone has to cordon the area, keep students clear of it and field questions about when it’ll be fixed. The longer a broken pane sits there, the more it becomes an injury waiting to happen and a security gap overnight. That’s why we treat school jobs as urgent by default.
Replaced quickly, with minimal disruption
We hold a large stock of glass at our Hoppers Crossing workshop, so when you call we’re not waiting on a supplier to get back to us. In most cases we can cut what you need the same day and get a glazier out to you, which is the difference between a hazard being gone by tomorrow and it sitting there for a week.
Every broken pane is replaced with toughened or laminated safety glass that meets Australian Standard 1288 and the Building Code of Australia, and our glaziers hold Working with Children Checks so they can work on site in line with Victorian regulations. We’ll work around your timetable where we can, whether that means early mornings, after hours or during a break, so the job gets done without pulling a class out of a room.
