Glazier Sunshine North: Glass Repair, Replacement and Shower Screens

Economy Glass is a family-owned glazier for Sunshine North and the surrounding Brimbank suburbs. Our showroom and warehouse are at 415 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing, and Sunshine North is a regular stop on our run up the Western Ring Road. Sunshine North sits between Ballarat Road and the Maribyrnong River, with the factories and yards of McIntyre Road on its western edge. The housing is mostly post-war brick and weatherboard, much of it with the original timber or aluminium windows, and an increasing number of blocks have been divided for new townhouses. That gives us three kinds of work in one suburb: reglazing older windows, fitting new screens and splashbacks in renovated and new homes, and looking after glass for the industrial sites.

Cracked panes, windows broken during a storm and sliding doors that have been hit are the everyday calls from Sunshine North. We reglaze timber, steel and aluminium frames with float glass cut at our warehouse, so many broken windows are replaced within the day. Any pane in a door, a low window or a bathroom is replaced with toughened or laminated safety glass to Australian Standard 1288 and the Building Code of Australia.
