Economy Glass is the glazier Airport West homes and shops call for broken windows, replacement panes and new shower screens. Airport West sits in the City of Moonee Valley between the Tullamarine Freeway and Keilor Road, and most of its streets are brick veneer homes from the 1950s and 1960s, now joined by townhouses and units on subdivided blocks. We come up from our showroom and warehouse at 415 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing, and we have served Moonee Valley for over 45 years, with a 4.9 star rating from more than 600 Google reviews.
A window broken by a stray ball on Matthews Avenue, a cloudy old shower screen, a mirror for a new wardrobe or a shopfront near Westfield Airport West: call (03) 9360 9900 or request a free, no-obligation quote.
The brick veneer homes of Airport West were mostly built with steel or timber windows, and many have since had aluminium windows and sliding doors put in, so our glaziers carry glass for all three. Our Hoppers Crossing warehouse holds a large stock of standard glass, which is why many broken windows can be replaced within the day. Where a pane sits in a door, next to a door or low to the floor, we fit toughened or laminated safety glass to Australian Standard 1288 so the repair meets the Building Code of Australia. Start with glass repairs for everyday breakages, window glass repairs for a guide to measuring, and emergency glass repairs for break-ins and storm damage.
We also replace glass in the shops, offices and showrooms along Matthews Avenue and around the Westfield precinct. Our commercial glazing page covers shopfronts, partitions and trade accounts.
Airport West bathrooms are being renovated one at a time, and a new screen is usually part of it. The original framed screens in the suburb’s 1960s bathrooms are often cloudy or leaking by now, and a new townhouse ensuite often gets a frameless upgrade before the owners move in. We supply and install framed, semi-frameless, frameless and sliding shower screens in toughened safety glass, made to measure for the room. The frameless shower screens page shows the clean look, and shower screen repairs covers a cracked panel, a failed hinge or a door that no longer closes.
